Thanks for showing all your mess ups - it makes me feel a whole lot better - not at you mess ups - but the fact that it's all part of the learning curve - and I do have to remind myself continually that the clay really is cheap - and all that I have lost is a bit of time!

Jan, such a shame about the turning of the necklace but as Lottie said, it is a learning curve and often that's when we learn the most. Maybe you could somehow reuse the parts to make something else, they are so nice.

Ah Jan - that's too bad about the flippy necklace. Adding weights behind was my first idea, but you already tried that.

How about drilling some holes and adding a second lot of jumprings, so you have two side by side instead of one connecting each disc?

If there are two rows of jumprights, the disks don't turn over.

I think I hit the jackpot today.  I have the ugliest ugly, and I have several colors I just hate.  I decided to make a chrysanthemum cane, going from burgandies on the outside to light browns on the inside.  I should have known, when I showed the pearl to hubby, and he said " Is that what you want!?".  What does he know about clay?  Well, I got raspberry, salmon, and mustard.  :P And, since the tut was using a different pasta machine (is it #0-#9, or #7-#1, etc.), and since I never get 1/2 way into the instructions before I drift off into my little 'I can do it myself from here', I have a full 8 oz. of scrap.   ;D  Now, I need to rush off and disperse the debris before hubby wakes from his nap.

I think I'll do something way more fun, and paint the house. ;D ;D
