Regards from Poland
« on: October 21, 2011, 12:29:22 PM »
Hello to all new friends :)
My name is Kasia and I am from Poland. I graduated in Marketing and
Management but I don't have any experience in that field. Last years I
have spent abroad working in hospitality mainly in Ireland but
recently also in the Bahamas (where I go 3-4 times a year) and last
summer I spent working a bit in England.
My adventure with polymer clay started a couple of months ago
(sometime around March). Before that I was trying my hand at making
jewellery but using already ready beads and products got a bit boring
after a while. Once, looking for inspiration in one of the Polish
stores similar to British WHSmith I came across a magazine with an
article about making beads from polymer clay. It looked fab and so
easy that I decided to give it a go. And here I am, self-taught,
novice "polyclayer" ;) with countless questions but also lots of
enthusiasm of learning more and more about the medium :)
Two days ago I found EJR Beads on FB, which lead me to your
forum. And guess what! I just can't stop reading it!!!! I love your
community full of  passion for claying and great sense of humour! :)
It is an honour to join such a wonderful group of outstanding
artists and lovely people.
Warm regards to you all,
Kasia
P.S. Forgive me my English and please, ignore all the mistakes :)
x
Kasia

Welcome Kasia. I'm so glad you found us. We were all new at polyclay once, so if you have any queries, do ask away. And your English is absolutely brilliant - no problem.

Can't wait to see what you have made.
Shelley

Thank you, Ladies, for all the warm welcome. Here are the pictures of my first steps in the world of polymer clay (and photography  ;) lol ). All these things were made a couple of months ago but I promise to improve my skills...
...with your help, of course :)
xx

And some more...
The blue beads on cocktail sticks were my first and not very successful trial of Mokume Gane but I won't give up ;P
..oh, and the cup cakes little bracelet was made for a birthday present for a lovely 4 years old little lady :)

Those are great beads and jewellery for your first attempts. I wish my first goes had been half as good!

And yes - do post some of your work in the October Beads / Jewellery gallery threads elsewhere on the forum. If you post in those threads, you are automatically entered into a competition to win a little prize from EJR Beads each month!
