Well, hello...
« on: September 18, 2017, 11:17:00 AM »
Hi there, my name is Nicola, I'm based in the UK and it's about time I got in touch with the polymer clay community.

I've been sculpting for about three years but, due to illness, I've been what you might call glacially slow, typically completing one project a year.

I'm a learn-on-the-job kind of girl and everything I've made so far has been determined by what I wanted to give someone as a gift. I'm hoping to step things up a gear now and pursue my own interests, maybe even open a shop on Etsy one day... we'll see.

I've just completed a project for my mum's birthday (mildly belated, ahem) so I'll try and post some photos for you over on the sculpting thread but I thought I'd say 'Hi' first. It's nice to be here

Welcome Nicola.

I admire anyone who can sculpt.  I'm rubbish at it :)

Thank you, guys.

Finally managed to post a picture of my work on the sculpting thread. It only took me... days.  ;)

Claire, I just saw your cuff bangle from the July showcase AM-AZING! Beautiful work.

Ah, stop now, you'll make me blush :)

Thanks very much though.  I'd wanted to try the technique for ages, then found a seller on ebay who sells packs of 4 napkins very reasonably so you don't have to buy 50 of each design.

I was pretty happy the way it turned out.
