My creations for the collaborative project "Into the Forest" all ready to parcel up and send to the US  :)
I think (hope!) that making these has got me through my creative block.....

And I don't know what gives with the images not showing up sometimes - does the same for me too. I know it varies between browsers too though, I will have to ask Mr Man to look into it

Gorgeous Carrie, I just love your pods, and the leaves too what a necklace they would make!

Thanks!  You're right!  They would make a fantastic, over the top necklace!

The leaves remind me a little bit of carved bakelite - something about the simple lines and the muted colour, it is gorgeous

:)  I feel the urge to make more when I come back from a couple of weeks away.....it was great fun!  No need to be precise so probably what I need right now to get me back into it.

I had seen on the FB Into the Forest group there had only been one person from the UK sending things so far, so that was another prompt I needed, along with the deadline (which has just been extended to early May) 8)

Absolutely love the pods Carrie.

Are they all separate pieces?

Thanks, Claire!  Yes - all separate.
Hope they get there ok...I keep having visions of something driving over the box or some oaf stomping on them  ;D

Carrie, we are taking part (me and daughter Jude).  I am making snake's head fritilleries, not easy as I discovered, loads of failed attempts.  First passable one about to be cured.
Jude made a colour scale of sycamore seeds.
I have asked members of our small clay group, in Croydon(23rd April), to join in if they want.  I can then post them all together the next day.

A few snakes head fritillaries are out in our garden.....I thought they were very inspiring so I'm not surprised you wanted to try....but I'm also not surprised you're finding it hard!  Did you make a chequerboard cane?  Can't wait to see!

Meanwhile, I love Jude's sycamore seeds!

I am very pleased indeed (and extremely relieved!) that making these has got me out of my creative slump and I have been busy and having fun playing with Helen Breil's magnetic pendants tutorial....the perfect project after really doing nothing for probably 15 months!

I hope they survived their travels :)
It looks as though they did, thank goodness!  They took their time getting there though....
