Beads and Jewellery Showcase - January 2017
« on: January 05, 2017, 05:07:30 PM »
Well folks - a new year and hopefully some new makes

What beady, wearable type things are you up to at the moment?

I've actually been making some jewellery myself lately - only one with my polyclay beads but I will try to get a photo soon

Hi, I'm not making beads right now, I've just made a pendant using lumps of clay pressed into the moon face mold then joined together. Still need to back it with some more clay. The other thing I've been up to is trying a bit of sculpture in the form of a 'green man' face. It's been interesting but I think I got carried away with the foliage! I do have to get on and make some beads and other pieces as I have a craft fair coming up and although it's not till March I'm just so slooooow at making completed work I need all the time I can get.

You might need some smelling salts to hand, or maybe a stiff brandy. I have actually MADE SOME JEWELLERY recently

Nice one Emma. Both are beautiful, but the blue and silver remind me of the slightly misty snowy hills we've just driven through on our way home.

Loving the blue and silver pair Emma, the other pair are really nice too, but the blue are my faves  :)

Really impressed by your pendant Lyubov, am going to have to go and watch your video.  :)

Ooh stunning! That gold one is especially striking.

You are always welcome to start up a new thread if the month has changed and none of us have done it.

I will start a new thread now, so please do feel free to post them again there too. Meanwhile I will also leave this thread open a while longer.  But for anyone showing new work, go seek out the Feb thread so we get to see your lovely things longer!
