Failed mirror beads
« on: September 05, 2016, 10:55:03 PM »
I had made a few of these but I was not happy with the way I had matched them up (I must get my glasses changed). Rather than throw them away they were stockpiled along with the 'orphans' that I still haven't done anything with. Anyhow after my major tidy up of my studio, in reality the box room, I did the same to all my polymerclay related stuff. Now it was a question of what to do with my short sighted beads, either throw them away or try and think of something to do with them so this is what I came up with. I cut one across the middle then along the length but I didn't really see anything I could use apart from using them as mosaic pieces. I cut another one and found that hidden inside failed mirror beads are dozens of beautiful tiny beads. Now I've got a collection of lovely mosaic pieces and just have to decide what to do with them. I'm going to try and get a photo of some but they are very small.
