Nordic Poly Camp 2016
« on: March 25, 2016, 07:31:14 AM »
Now i finally have a few minutes to share how Nordic Poly Camp went along.

It was a succes and i´m already planning for Nordic Poly Camp 2017 .

Youngest participant was 11, a girl with talent! They came from 3 countries, Sweden ,Norway and Denmark.

It all went very smoothly but i did notice a few things that need to be improved . The room was too small and 1 and ½ day was too shoort. It needs to be 2 full days.
Some kind of snack needs to be in the room.

But actually no mishaps.... no one, i orderd the wrong food for one of the participants but she forgave me i think as she has already signed up for 2017

Day one there was the sutton slice and my Zero distortion and on day 2 learning how to use alchol inks as surface treatment. But that one we had to cut short as we ran out of time. They continued outside while i emptyed the room.

Everybody got a lovely goodie bag has we had 4 sponsors. Polyform Products, Lucy Clay tools, Fimo and my Swedish supplier Paleda.

We took a group picture with the logo of each of the sponsors and sent it to then as a thank you. I aslo sent each sponsor pictures showing there products in them along with a letter.

All very nice and pleasent people.

One thing i discoverd was that the work AFTER was almost more than the preperations before :) No it wasn´t but the work after was concentrated to a few day and the preporations had been made during a whole year.

Here is the group picture but if you follow it to my flickr you can see more photos and my Facebook Page has over 40 pictures.

Well done, Karolina!  I'm pleased it was a success.  It looks like everyone was having a great time from your flickr photos.  I'm sure with the changes you mention, the 2017 camp will be even better! :-)

Oh it sounds fantastic - and you did a brilliant job!

Of course there are always things to learn for next time - but it sounds like your organisation was excellent and things ran very well. If there are improvements to be made - well that just means the next year will be even better still!

Now you need a well deserved rest this Easter!

Well hello there Karolina! Fancy seeing you here, lol. :)

I'm a member of Karolinas awesome Facebook group for PC Scandinavians. I have seen all these fab photos there and I'm still jealous I live across the pond and couldn't join in the fun.

Yes, that is my dream goal. I thought I already would have gone home for a week this spring but I'm still not really up for the long flight. Hopefully next year I will be. :)
