Welcome to the forum Matt

Sounds like you have quite the creative background, hopefully you will share some of your work with us all. Polyclay and other stuff too ideally!

Hi Matt  :)   Polymer clay seems to combine so well with all sorts of other media so l reckon you're going to love it!
It's also incredibly versatile - sculpting, moulding, handbuilding, likes paints, inks, mimics almost anything else you can think of.....looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've loved seeing your works over the last few weeks and felt a guilt as as a voyour. I am in awe from some of the detail on so minute thins on here. I can only do larger things due to my sausage fingers lol. I love your every and anything goes attitude as I have a daughter who gets it but hasn't got it yet but wouldn't feel out of place if she joined now

I think most of the folks here who stick around are pretty laid back. I keep the place far too boring to attract the drama queens!

How old is your daughter? Does she do much polyclay or other creative stuff?

My daughter is 12, she's made a couple of miniature pigs in fimo. Shes the most creative besides me but gives up to easily. Haven't told her she can make jewellery out of it yet because its going to cost me a fortune lol. She used to do those elastic band bracelets, loopeze I think they were called but I had to get every colour known. Got 2 boys 16 yrs is into animals and aquatics .19yrs old is mostly into the pub.

The great thing about PC is that you can mix any color you want so only have to get the Hues, black and white :)

I too have a creative daughter :) She complains about not having enough colors. I have almost every color there is but i don´t give her everything as she makes a gazillions of pc cakes. They look nice but then she cuts them up into tiny slices. So we have more than anough of "cake" slices.

But it is a joy to see when makes little cute animals.

She is 5 going on 6 :)
