This is proberly not the right tread to ask..but it says everything ;)
What if i upload a picture in the showcase of one of my pieces and it's made using a tutorial  ...it always says please show respect to the teacher by mentioning her/him. Is this advertising?

No - if you made work inspired by a tutorial, it is good to give credit to whoever wrote the tutorial.

But you cannot include a link to that tutorial, if the tutorial has to be purchased. Because that could be seen as advertising the product.

If the tutorial is free, or is on someone's blog etc you are welcome to link to it.

I just don't want people who are professional sellers of tutorials using the forum overtly to tout for sales. By having this rule in place, it protects everyone from that a little bit.
