Mixing Premo with Fimo
« on: July 09, 2015, 10:09:17 AM »
Can this be done? I don't find Premo locally and usually get it via the net, but I want to make something which requires some black Premo. Can I use Classic Fimo instead in the mix? (the other colors will be the Premo I already have).

Ordinarily if you are mixing colours, the brand mixes are based on whether they cure at similar temperatures (or can stand either slightly higher or lower).  If they do you should be ok to mix.

However, if you are using them in a cane, you need to be careful of the different consistencies of the clays as when you start to reduce one clay may 'move' quicker than another and you can end up with a big horrible mess.
