Hi from Texas
« on: January 13, 2015, 12:54:04 PM »
Hi Everyone. My name is Ginny and I live in Texas. For the last 3 plus years I have been a caricature wood carver. But due to low vision I can no longer carve.  Someone on the woodcarvers forum was using polymer clay to use as a guide to his carvings. A model of sorts. So I decided to give it a try. I'm totally new to the craft and look forward to any and all advise from anyone willing to offer it. Thank you for allowing me to join and I look forward to hearing from all of you.  GinnytooU

I am sure you will fall in love with the clay  - if you check out our sculpture and modelling threads, you find lots of useful info and inspiration. And of course if you have any questions just ask!

Hi Ginny! What area of Texas are you from? I'm in Waco, practically square between Austin and Dallas. Did you know there are active guilds all over the state? I know of groups in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. I'm sure there are others I've missed or forgotten...
