My mate pierced my ear when I was 13 and my mum went crazy!!  Wasn't allowed to wear an earring when I started work and eventually the hole sealed up. That was 25 years ago....should I be a middle aged rebel and go and get it pierced again?

Not sure what the wife would make of it!

The only time I pierced something for someone was piercing my friend's lip. Man lips are TOUGH and it was like driving a pin through leather.

It turned my stomach to be honest, but he was a mate and seemed really keen.

Anyway, I saw him the next day and the piercing was in a different area on his face  :o :o :o

I asked why and he said "oh I didn't really like it there so I re-did it myself here"

I could have punched him!

I wore an ear cuff for a bit, until someone I was introduced to talked to me VERY LOUDLY.  She thought it was a hearing aid.

I have pierced my ears a dozen times :D Never personally had allergies to any metal but I never used anything except silver gold and surgical steel.

From what reading I've done it seems Pewter is well tolerated for general skin contact, tho I'd guess no one would use it in their ears. I got some alloy metal earrings for experiments and had no allergies at all, just still not confident about selling using alloys. Think I'll stick to silver or what's been mentioned to stay on the safe side.

Lastnight My Mom Sister and I sat down to make some jewellery. My Dad had the tv extremely loud, and so we couldn't talk really, but we had a lot of fun. I made a set of clipons and there actually really comfy, I had one slip off but I am to get some rubber covers it helps with the slipping.
