Selling at A Farmers Market.
« on: August 26, 2014, 06:46:23 PM »
Hi everyone, so the last saturday of the month my mom goes to a market 2 hours away. She takes my charms(Note I make minis and only have 30-40 of them. May sound like a lot but it isn't) I only have a baking tray that is about 10x14 inches. With a sheep skin. Then my stand with prices are beside it and finally my buisness cards are on the tray. I want to add interest to my display without making it too busy, also my mom has to be able to set it up.

How about a small, twiggy branch - like a sprig of witch hazel or something, in a pot/ vase and some of your charms hanging from that?

Anything with height will add interest to a display.

For flat displays, maybe some nice dishes, or mirror tiles to put the charms on.

It is tricky with small clay items - you want something to enhance them, not over-power them.

Experiment with a few set ups at home and see which has the most impact when you look at it from across the room

I like Emma's idea. Another height option is maybe to have two or three thin cardboard boxes, staggered in size, say 3" high, 6" and 9" and covered with a nice velvet cloth. Easy to set up and light, incase your Mum has to carry them.

I shall think on it, the next time she goes is the 27th so I have time to experiment.
