Anyone used shrinkles? When cooking how long is a few mins? Anything else I need to know?

When colouring them in, Do Not Go Over The Lines.  You'll really notice it.  Also, believe them when they say the colour gets considerably darker.

If the Shrinkles had been mine instead of my eight-year-old daughter's, I would have cut off a bit of edge, tried all of the colouring pencils and baked it, to see how they worked.  But that was SERIOUSLY not an option.

Other than that, just follow the instructions.  Make sure it's a book you don't care too much about - a phone directory maybe.

Post pictures!

Honestly can't remember.  I cleaned up the window in my oven so I could see the pieces - I think they say to wait until the pieces lie flat.

Is shrinkles the same as shrink plastic sheets?  Or is that the little 'seeds' of plastic?  I've never tried them, no idea how you'd use them apart from just putting them in moulds.
I've used the sheets though.

Top left of that page is a tiny white piece with a shell design stamped in my favourite turquoise ink and suspended from the spine of the Concertina Sea Book's front cover.

Loads of stuff on pinterest about how you can use plastic bottles and such as home made shrinkles. Has to be the right sort of plastic. Not tried it yet, but on my very long list of 'must try's
