Title: FYI - Cernit is vegan
Post by: Carrie on April 28, 2017, 04:41:28 PM
For anyone concerned, Lizzie Campbell from the UK has been researching which polymer clays and associated products are vegan, and she had a reply to her query to the makers of Cernit:

"Cernit and all auxiliaries are of course vegan."

Kato is as well, but not Fimo.  So vegans can order Cernit from Emma - EJR - with confidence  :)

Isn't all polymer clay a derivative of the petro chemical industry?

That doesn't prevent it from being suitable for vegans....I think those creatures that ended up as oil died sufficient millions of years ago.......!
I think some makes include beeswax which vegans don't want to use.  As a vegetarian myself that's ok for me in any case.
